Furyon – Lost Salvation – Dream Records/Cargo Records– Relese: February 23th 2015.
The debut album “Gravitas” from this British band was a real treat to listen to. Now, three years later they’ve delivered a second album.
When singer Matt kicks in on opener “All That I Have” you know this guy has a superb set of vocal chords. His vocals sound warm and hold an enormous amount of emotions. The guitars add melody and yes, I’m hooked on that signature sound from Chris Green. The solo spot injects some speed in this rather ‘slow’ track. The riffs from the title track give me an instant energy boost. The riffage here is pure delight! The vocals from Matt made me think of Ed Kowalski (in the more lower range of his voice).
The openings riffs from ‘Scapegoat’ bring in some Black Sabbath influences! The many solos are true knights of melody and emotion. A very addictive track!
Chris Green (recording musician) has a unique way of playing his guitar. It blends older sounds (I can spot some George Lynch and Zakk Wylde among others) with modern parts in a splendid way! Just listen to the start of “Good Sky” and it will hit you!
The slower paced ‘What You Need’ jumps on the classic rock wagon, while ‘Wiseman’ has a more modern approach.
The band again made an addictive sounding album where guitar and vocals rule big time!
