Review: Death Dealer – Hallowed Ground – Sweden Music Group – Release: Out Now.

Featuring members that previously worked with the likes of Manowar, the Dictators, Rob Halford, Lizzy Borden, Udo Dirkschneider, and Cage, the newly formed Death Dealer are a true heavy metal force to be reckoned with. Their debut album “Warmaster” got some raving reviews from all over the world. These five metal warriors are now back with the follow-up “Hallowed Ground”.

Death Dealer is:
Sean Peck – Vocals
Stu Marshall – Guitar
Ross The Boss – Guitar
Mike Davis – Bass
Steve Bolognese – Drums

Hallowed Ground
DeathDealer-CoverAfter a bombastic intro ‘Gunslinger’ kicks into high gear with soaring vocals from Sean Peck, pounding drums from Steve and powerful riffs from the dynamic duo Ross & Stu. Mr. Peck is known for the many different tonal heights in his voice. The band surprises me with an acoustic break where Sean shines like a crazy diamond. During the solo’s Ross demonstrates why they call him The Boss!
The single ‘Break The Silence’ shows a more conventional approach! Especially the chorus is pure 80’s metal! The musicianship is outstanding and the guitar work is fast, but remains melodic.
The band shifts into even a higher gear on the blistering ‘Plan Of Attack’. This power riff overloaded track sounds like Judas Priest on speed! You simply can’t sit still here! Peck’s screams are simply earsplitting good!

‘Seance’ is more aggressive and holds some elements from extreme metal acts!
‘The Way Of The Gun’ is more melodic and is the ideal track to sing along with the chorus!
‘K.I.L.L.’ is a speed-record breaker with a shredding solo intro. If you like it fast, this is the song for you! Heavy metal the way it was meant to be can be heard on ‘I Am The Revolution’ and ‘The Anthem’ is a classic metal tune and an ode to heavy metal in general! Further on the album is the true power metal dream and ‘Skull And Cross Bones’ gives us a taste of mainly US metal inspired stuff with a NWOBHM after taste.
The album concludes with ‘U-666’. With 666 in the title a track it can’t be bad! This is a devilish metal track that kicks major ass,

Conclusion:
People who loved “Warmaster” can buy this without hesitation. When you love your metal fast, pounding and adore high Halford inspired vocals you should buy this album. In fact, all who like to have a ball while blasting an album simply has to order this shit! This is the stuff dreams are made off!
If you get the chance to see the band live on stage, don’t hesitate for a second! Order your ticket and you will be blown away by the power! Believe me, I’ve seen them in a local bar in Belgium and they kicked everyone’s ass!
