Review: Sinbreed – Master Creator – AFM Records – Release: Out Now.

sinbreedmastercreatorcdNo rest for the weary; as soon as you push play “Creation of Reality” kicks off in high gear. No worries though, because any weariness will soon disappear with the upbeat power metal by Sinbreed. Classic German power metal with a nice extra punch, thanks to Frederik’s drums, also known from a little known band called Blind Guardian, and Alexander on bass.

However, when Herbie starts singing I have to pause and check the bandname. He sounds like a perfect mix between Helloween’s Andi Deris and Gravedigger’s Chris Boltendahl; great high pitched vocals with a strong raw edge to them. To top it off Flo does some terrific guitar work, from fast shredding to perfect power metal harmonies, very uplifting to say the least.

There are the typical fast punchers like the aforementioned opening track as well as the title track, but gears will also shift like in ‘Moonlit Night’ or the beautifully piano focused  ‘At the Gate’.
What you get is a very solid album that anyone with a taste for power metal will take an instant liking to.

Score: 4.1 out of 5
